In the beginning of humanity, all over the world people started performing rituals and making appurtenant art. For me, the connection between art and ritual is still very present. I am convinced that the need for religiosity is an universal instinct. I try to visualise this instinct within my work.

My visual language, in which I express my ideas, is characterised by materials like clay and wood. Often I make installations out of series of objects. Most of the installations have a purpose, they need to be used. Performance is a very important part of my work, it makes my installations alive.
